  • Memoirs of Edward T. Flanagan: Edward Flanagan was the son of John Flanagan and Frances Ann West, and he was the brother of John (who married Frances West), Louisa (who married James Frederick Krafft), Mary, and Charles. He was born about 1838, in Belleville, Illinois. This copy of his memoirs is taken from an undated typescript.
  • The Funeral Sermon of Mrs. Ann Mitchell, wife of Reverend Edward Mitchell, by Rev. William Walton Mitchell, delivered at Gaywood, St. Clair County, May 30, 1852. Transcribed from a published copy of the sermon.
  • Two Volunteer Missionaries Among the Dakotas, or the Story of the Labors of Samuel W. and Gideon H. Pond, by S. W. Pond, Jr., Congregational Sunday-School and Publishing Society, Boston and Chicago, 1893. This is a book of some 278 pages detailing the lives of these early missionaries to the Dakota Indians in the area that is now Minneapolis, Minn. This is available as either a 1MB HTML file or a 22MB PDF. The HTML file is a not fully corrected OCR of the original page images. The PDF combines OCR-recognized text and images of unrecognized words. Eventually a more fully corrected version should be available.
