Rev. Hendrick Hegeman was born circa 1595.1 He was the son of Jacob Lambertsz. Hegeman and Arntgen Feith.1 He was serving as minister of St. Johan’s Church, Elburg, in 1604, and minister of the Reformed church at Vorchten, a village in the municipality of Heerde, Gelderland, between 1624 and 1637. Meanwhile, for part of this time he attended Franeker University, where he is recorded as a student on 26 May 1617; we do not know for certain whether he graduated. His second wife, whom he married (as her first husband) by 1633, was Maritgen Berents van Marle.1 Rev. Hendrick Hegeman died in 1637 at Vorchten, Heerde, Gelderland.1

Thomas Hilleary was born at England.1,2 He married Eleanor Sprigg, daughter of Capt. Thomas Sprigg and Eleanor Nuthall, circa 1684.1 Thomas Hilleary died in February 1697 at Prince George's Co, Maryland.1 He left a will on 7 February 1697.1 He THOMAS HILLEARY, planter, b. probably in Norfolk or Suffolk, England; d. in Feb. 1697, in Prince George's Co. in the Province of Maryland, whither he came in 1659-60, as is shown by a land warrant issued by the Provincial Land Office on 2d May, 1661 (Liber 4, page 551). In 1663, Thomas HILLEARY patented a tract of 1050 acres of land, which he called 'Three Sisters,' then situate in Calvert Co. near the present town of Hyattsville, in Prince George's Co., and in 1665 he patented a tract called Brandford. He was High Sheriff of Prince George's Co. in 1696 (deeds P. G. Co. Liber A, folio 12). He was also one of the protestant citizens of Calvert Co. who signed 20th Aug. 1689 (8 Md. Arch. III) a protest to the inhabitants of said County against the surrender of the magazine of arms and the records of the Province to certain parties, and against the calling of an assembly by them before a warrant therefor should be received from King William and Queen Mary. He m. twice; the name of his first wife is unknown, but he m. about 1684 for his second wife, Eleanor SPRIGG, dau. of Capt. Thomas and Eleanor (NUTTHALL) SPRIGG, dau. of John NUTTHALL of Saint Mary's Co., Md. (3d Md. Arch. 303 and 540). Thomas HILLEARY'S second wife survived him and became the wife of her cousin, John NUTTHALL, Jr. (deed in 1701 Prince George's Co. Liber A, folio 357). Thomas HILLEARY left a will dated 7th Feb. 1697, and probated 15th of same month, and recorded in Liber K, folio 321 Provincial Wills of Maryland, whereby he disposed of a large estate. [Colonial Families vol. 2].1 He was Will Probated on 15 February 1697 at Prince George's Co, Maryland.1

Thomas Hilleary Jr. was born in 1686 at Maryland.1 He was the son of Thomas Hilleary and Eleanor Sprigg. Thomas Hilleary Jr. married Eleanor Young, daughter of George Young and Elizabeth (?), circa 1706.2,3 Thomas Hilleary Jr. THOMAS HILLEARY, Jr., planter, b. 1686 (see Provincial Testamentary Proceedings, Liber 17, folio --); d. between 28th Jan. and 14th Feb. 1728-9. He acquired by his father's will and by purchase 640 acres of the lands called 'Three Sisters,' and devised it by his will (probated 14th Feb. 1728, recorded in P. G. Co. Wills 1, folio 175) to his four sons. He was a vestryman of Queen Anne's Parish, Prince George's Co. m. circa 1706, Eleanor YOUNG, dau. of George YOUNG, Sr., of Prince George's Co., by his wife, Elizabeth. Her father mentions her in his will probated 7th June, 1718 (Wills Liber W. B., folio 613). George YOUNG was also a signer of the protest concerning the Provincial Records, etc. [Colonial Families vol 2].2 He died between 15 March 1797 and 14 February 1799 at Calvert, Maryland.3

Thomas Hilleary [iii] married Sarah Odell, daughter of Thomas Odell and Sarah Ridgely, on 9 November 1727 at Queen Anne's Parish, Prince George's, Maryland.3 Thomas Hilleary [iii] died after 1735.

Verlinda Hilleary was born on 5 March 1735 at Prince George's, Maryland.1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas Hilleary [iii] and Sarah Odell. Verlinda Hilleary married Benjamin West, son of John West and Frances Osborne, in 1760 at Hagerstown, Frederick, Maryland.3 Verlinda Hilleary died in 1825 at Belleville, St. Clair, Illinois.
